Too many checkpoints and AA sites, not enough outposts. There are only 21 outposts in the entire map, the same amount as Far Cry 5, despite the map being 3 times larger than Far Cry 5. I hated or didn't care for practically any of Libertad except for El Tigre. The different ammo types are essentially all worthless aside from armor piercing.
These games are made to be played for a month, two or more, it's wrong to rush through them. Not because they're so special and worth your time or something, just because of their structure. The map is gorgeous and filled with content. Removal of annoying mechanics like tower climbing and pointless animations (Skinning, wound healing, patting bodies) are little changes that have come a long way for me. The side missions are also a step up from previous games as they are higher quality and more varied.
